Senior Security Consultant

Mrs. Schwartz joined NST in2022. Mrs. Schwartz supports of NST’s Technical Practice, which includes the performance of NERC CIP-010 Paper and Active Vulnerability Assessments, IT and OT Penetration Testing, Technical Security Scans and Analysis, as well as the performance of Validated Architecture Design Reviews for TSA “Top 100” Pipeline Operators.

 

Prior to joining NST, Mrs. Schwartz spent a year working in the NERC CIP compliance industry, specifically working with Vulnerability Assessments on BES Cyber Assets and patch management for clients with BES Cyber Assets. Mrs. Schwartz reviewed vulnerability scans generated by Tenable, determined applicability, and created action plans for remediation for applicable vulnerabilities identified. In addition, she worked with business units to collect evidence needed for NERC CIP compliance audits.

 

Earlier in Career

Mrs. Schwartz has over 10years of experience analyzing and parsing large amounts of data and maintaining its integrity in both the education and health insurance industries. She became the subject matter expert for data security wherever she worked.  Cyber security became a passion for Mrs. Schwartz and led to her pursuit of a master’s degree in Cyber Security field, and eventually to pursue her career in consulting for NERC CIP Compliance.

 

 

Education

Mrs. Schwartz earned Bachelor of Arts degree from Taylor University and a master’s degree in Information Technology/ Cybersecurity at Capella University where she graduated with honors.
